Key Features/Benefits
Designed as a leading-edge wireless infrastructure solution that supports higher network capacity, increased flexibility and lower operational costs in response to these types of industry requirements, this latest evolution of our underground enclosure is light and compact, offers increased interior capacity and features above ground equipment access.
The compact, low profile of the VersaFlex CEV is designed to appeal to state, city and local jurisdictions, as well as network operators that are on the receiving end of city-issued permits for deployments in right-of-way easements and areas requiring low impact installations.
Dimensions The VersaFlex CEV measures 10’L x 6’W x 11’D and weighs 8,000 lbs., allowing it to be shipped without special permits. Featuring a corrosion-resistant, seamless, watertight fiberglass design, the CEV’s exterior surface ribs simplify installation procedures by making it possible to anchor the enclosure in the ground using standard cement backfill slurries.
Above Ground Equipment Access The VersaFlex CEV increases capacity by 50 percent when compared to competitive compact underground solutions. The expanded interior space accommodates full-sized interior BTS equipment. All BTS equipment sits on a metal platform that features a hydraulic lifting mechanism to raise the platform for above ground access to equipment. The lifting mechanism utilizes a biodegradable vegetable oil hydraulic fluid for environmental safety.
Thermal Management Advanced thermal management is delivered to the VersaFlex CEV through a small, remotely located cooling cabinet that pumps refrigerant through underground copper tubing. This strategy eliminates the need for thermal ventilation, as well as the primary source of water penetration typically found in traditional compact controlled environment solutions.
